As you all know, in December 2020, the whole country was plunged into another lockdown which meant here at the York Philharmonic Choir, we had to rethink how we were going perform our annual Christmas Traditions concert.
For those of you who don't know, 'The Phil's' Christmas Traditions concerts are a blend of carols old and new, Christmas songs, readings and sketches all presented and performed by 'The Phil', the Kirkgate Ladies choir, who join us every year, with additional contributions from one of our guest youth choirs.
Every year we look forward to greeting some familiar faces and meeting our new concert goers. However, this year due to the pandemic, we decided to hold a virtual concert instead in a bid to bring a little extra Christmas cheer to those who needed it most.
Hopefully next Christmas we'll be back to normal, performing in person once again!
