The 2016 publication - Sound Fellows the Story of York Philharmonic Male Voice Choir 1925-2015 has been updated to include the last five years and is now available as an eBook covering 1925-2020.

Our mission has always been to share our love and knowledge of music with the public, which is why the choir has played such a key role in the musical life of York for so long. This eBook tells that story and describes the many fine musicians past and present who have made it such a success.

The story of the choir has been beautifully documented by choir member Colin Hockridge. In this update, Colin has included previously undiscovered material, brings the story up to December 2020 and includes 24 audio/video clips

"We have such a rich history as a choir, it's been a fascinating time researching and documenting our story" says Colin Hockridge "I hope you enjoy reading the updated book as much as I have enjoyed creating it!"

As an eBook, the story is now enhanced by 24 audio/ video clips from as early as 1958 to 2020. We are pleased to be able to make Sound Fellows edition two available as a free pdf download so please enjoy reading about, listening to and watching 'The Phil' at work.
